An ancient wat of about 400 years old. The Fine Arts Department registered the temple as a national ancient monument on 27-9-1936. During the reign of King Rama V, Wat Yai Chom Prasat was also named Wat Yai Sakhon Buri and it has the status of a royal temple. It was not possible to make proper photos as the whole premises are currently under renovation. Follow Road 35 from Bangkok to Samut Sakhon direction Samut Songhkram, pass the bridge over Tha Chin River and take the first small road, right after passing the bridge, on your left-hand side. Take care that you leave the main road and start following the parallel-road just one kilometer before the river!
