A wat (temple) adjoining the wide khlong (canal) Hok Wa. The premises are big. The wat is more than one hundred years old but most of the buildings has been renovated, including the, at that time wooden, ubosot. The buildings are showing a very nice decoration. The premises are quiet although a lot of locals are living in the surroundings. On the contrary to lots of other wats almost no building / renovation activities. Although, as in lots of wats, the ubosot was closed, two very helpful monks were so kind to unlock the ubosot and opened all the windows enabling to make photos. They knew a lot of the wat's history and even pointed at centenary trees. On my way back I saw the abbot, almost ninety years old and being in the wat since he went into monkhood as a young man or boy. This wat is worth visiting.
